Garment

Is an iOS app for iPad created for H&M, is a mobile merchandising software that allows visual merchandisers and managers to efficiently plan and execute the moves. The app connects to the RFID system in store and creates an inventory of the merchandise.

Role: UX/UI Designer

For: H&M

At Garment, I was responsible for the user experience and interface of the iOS app. I interview visual merchandisers and managers at H&M, created wireframes, analized user flows, and created a high fidelity design to prototype the experience using Invision and Sketch.

The problem that I want to solve with this project is the lack of information that H&M stores have of their inventory which leads to inaccuracy when planning and executing store implementations.

The Problem

Context

H&M has a $4.8 billions of unsold inventory. This creates an overwhelming overstock in the stores. Recently, H&M introduced new technologies like artificial intelligence and, RFID to help with this situation.

Through the H&M app customers can now know what is available in store by scanning the item and the RFID system allows the company to know the inventory of the store. The only problem is that this infromation is not been share with the store.

The Catalog

The catalog Is a hub that syncs with the RFID system to collect all the information of the garments, product number, quantity and, department.

The Planner

The planner is a tool for creating maps, and wall systems of the store.

The Merchandiser

The merchandiser is a tool for visual merchandisers to create and plan new collections.

User Flows

These user flows break down the processes the user would use to achieve the task.

Sketching

This process help to start understanding ideas and how the flows would look like.

Wireframes

Creating detailed wireframes help the navigation to be straight forward.
